JOSEPH ENOSAKHARE A. AIWIZE
Vision Bearer, Watchmen to the Nations Global
Joseph Enosakhare A. Aiwize is a man whose life and ministry have been shaped by a deep conviction that the presence of God is experienced and cultivated through intimacy with Him. At the heart of his Christian journey is a simple but profound belief: prayer is not merely an activity; it is a relationship with God. His passion for prayer, intercession, soul winning, holy living, and the advancement of God's Kingdom has become the foundation of his ministry and calling.

A Life Transformed by Jesus Christ
In September 1986, at the age of 17, Joseph gave his life to Jesus Christ at the Christian Union Fellowship, while attending the Federal School of Arts and Science in Ondo State, Nigeria. That encounter with Christ became the defining turning point of his life.
Having personally experienced the saving grace of Jesus Christ, he developed a deep burden for the salvation of others. He became passionate about soul winning because he strongly believes that no one should perish without hearing and responding to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
His conviction has remained consistent throughout his life: God can save anyone, regardless of how far they may have travelled down the road of sin and destruction. This conviction has fuelled his commitment to prayer, intercession, evangelism, and sharing the message of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
A Journey of Discipleship and Service
During his university years, Joseph served as a student pastor with the Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES). This season further developed his passion for the Word of God, spiritual leadership, discipleship, and evangelism.
He was also a committed member of the Church of God Mission International, where he was nurtured, trained, and established in the balanced teaching of God's Word. He served in the Department of Ushers and the Soldiers of Christ, gaining practical experience in Christian service, discipline, ministry, and leadership. He was baptized by immersion by Reverend J. O. Iyekekpolo of Church of God Mission, Ivbiotor Quarters, in 1987.
His ministry journey also included seasons of service in Lagos and Port Harcourt with the ministry of Bishop Harford Anayo Iloputaife at Victory Christian Church. Through these different seasons of Christian service, discipleship, and ministry, Joseph continued to grow in his understanding of Scripture, prayer, evangelism, leadership, and the practical work of the Kingdom of God.
In 1990, Joseph started a Church fellowship at Ijegun, behind Satellite Town in Lagos, which he faithfully led until 1992. When he went to Port Harcourt to further his education, he handed over the fellowship to the associate pastor, trusting God to continue the work that had been begun.
He was ordained a Deacon in the Church of God Mission and, in 2013, was ordained a Pastor in Believers Ministry by Bishop Samuel Osaghae.
A Life of Prayer and Intercession
At the centre of Joseph Aiwize's spiritual life is prayer. He is a strong believer in prayer and fasting and has devoted significant portions of his life to seeking God, interceding for individuals, families, the Church, communities, and nations.
His passion for prayer is rooted in a desire for intimacy with God. He believes that the believer's greatest strength is not found in human ability, influence, position, or resources, but in the presence of God.
His conviction is: A praying person becomes available to the purposes of God.
Through years of personal prayer and intercession, a growing burden for nations developed in his heart. This burden eventually became the foundation for the vision of Watchmen to the Nations Global.
The Birth of a Global Prayer Burden
The vision for Watchmen to the Nations Global was born in the place of personal prayer. On January 22, 2019, while praying and interceding for Nigeria, Joseph received a profound spiritual burden concerning the future of the nation. The burden was one of hope, restoration, transformation, and the intervention of God.
He became deeply convinced that Nigeria should not be abandoned by the Church or forgotten in prayer. The challenges facing a nation must not only be discussed; they must also be brought before God.
On September 11, 2022, the burden developed into a specific call to organize a 24-hour prayer gathering for Nigeria. Although the assignment appeared overwhelming, he chose to obey. A video titled “New Nation Birthed in Prayers by the WORD” was recorded and shared, inviting believers to consider the role of prayer in the spiritual and future transformation of a nation.
Through the response of believers and ministers from different locations, a 24-hour prayer gathering was organized on October 1, 2022—Nigeria's Independence Day. What began as a personal burden became a corporate prayer gathering.
Following that gathering, the conviction grew that the call to pray should not be limited to Nigeria. The question became: If we can stand in prayer for one nation, why should we not stand in prayer for the nations?
From this growing burden, the vision of Watchmen to the Nations Global emerged.
His Ministry Conviction
Joseph believes that prayer must be joined with obedience, holy living, the proclamation of the Gospel, and practical service.
His life can be summarized by a burden for souls and a passion for God's presence. He believes that if there is a person willing to pray, intercede, and faithfully proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, no life should be considered hopeless and no nation should be considered beyond the reach of God.
Education, Profession, and Family
Joseph Enosakhare A. Aiwize is a trained Chemical/Petrochemical Engineer. He holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management and a Doctorate in Biblical and Family Counselling.
He is the founder of Grace and Glory Ambassadors Ministries, based in Canada. Joseph is married to Dr. Cordelia C. Aiwize, and together they are blessed with four children. The Aiwize family is committed to serving God and participating in His work in the earth.
For Joseph, ministry is not simply a title or an organization. It is a life of surrender. It is a call to seek God. It is a responsibility to stand in the gap. It is a burden for souls. And it is a commitment to see Jesus Christ glorified among the nations.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Faith and Foundational Convictions of Watchmen to the Nations Global
Watchmen to the Nations Global is a Christ-centred prayer ministry founded upon the authority of the Holy Scriptures and the lordship of Jesus Christ. We believe that the Church is called to know God, love God, obey God, proclaim the Gospel, live holy lives, and stand faithfully in prayer for individuals, communities, and nations.
We Believe in the One True God
We believe in one eternal, holy, sovereign, and loving God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He alone is worthy of worship, honour, glory, and obedience.
We Believe in Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. We believe that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of humanity, was buried, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in glory. We believe that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ.

We Believe in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, leads people to repentance, regenerates the believer, dwells within God's people, empowers believers for holy living and service, and equips the Church for ministry and witness. We believe that the Christian life cannot be lived successfully through human strength alone. We need the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
We Believe in the Authority of the Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and the supreme authority for faith, doctrine, Christian conduct, and righteous living. The Scriptures reveal God's character, His redemptive plan, His will for humanity, and His purposes for the Church. We therefore seek to build our lives and ministry upon the truth of God's Word.
We Believe That Salvation Is Available to Everyone
We believe that every human being is created in the image of God but is separated from God by sin. We believe that no person is beyond the reach of God's grace. Regardless of a person's past, failures, addictions, rebellion, or distance from God, the saving grace of Jesus Christ is able to redeem, forgive, restore, and transform. We believe that salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
No one is too far gone for God to save.
We Believe in the Power of Prayer
Prayer is central to the identity and calling of Watchmen to the Nations Global. We believe that prayer is both communion with God and participation in His purposes on earth. Prayer is not a substitute for obedience; prayer produces obedience. Through prayer, believers draw near to God, receive strength, seek His will, intercede for others, confront spiritual darkness, and align themselves with God's purposes.

We Believe in Intimacy with God
We believe that Christianity is fundamentally a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The believer is called not merely to know about God but to know God. We believe that intimacy with God is cultivated through prayer, worship, obedience, meditation on Scripture, fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and a life surrendered to God. Our desire is to help believers move beyond religious activity into a genuine relationship with the living God.
We Believe in Holy Living
We believe that those who belong to Christ are called to live lives that honour God. Holiness is not an optional part of Christianity. It is the calling of every believer. We believe that God's grace does not give us permission to continue in sin; rather, grace empowers us to live in obedience to God. We therefore call believers to pursue purity, righteousness, integrity, love, humility, self-control, and obedience to God's Word.
We Believe in the Great Commission
We believe that every follower of Jesus Christ is called to participate in the mission of making disciples of all nations. The Gospel is the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ and must be proclaimed to every people and nation. We are therefore committed to evangelism, discipleship, missions, prayer, and the proclamation of the Gospel.
We Believe That God Cares About Nations
We believe that God is concerned with individuals, families, communities, nations, governments, leaders, and every sphere of human society. Nations are not outside the concern of God. Therefore, we believe that the Church must pray for nations and those in positions of authority. We pray for peace, righteousness, justice, wisdom, salvation, and godly leadership. We seek to stand in the gap without becoming a political organisation or partisan movement. Our ultimate allegiance is to Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God.
We Believe in the Calling of the Watchman
We believe that God's people are called to remain spiritually awake and to stand in the gap through prayer. A watchman is one who remains alert, listens for God's direction, warns when necessary, intercedes faithfully, and refuses to abandon the place of spiritual responsibility. We believe that the Church must not sleep while people suffer and nations face spiritual, moral, and social challenges. We are called to watch. We are called to pray. We are called to stand in the gap.
We Believe in the Body of Christ
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and that every genuine believer is part of God's family. We value the unity of believers across nations, cultures, denominations, and backgrounds. Watchmen to the Nations Global exists to bring believers together in prayer and fellowship without seeking to replace the local church. We honour the local church and believe that believers should be rooted in healthy Christian fellowship and accountable spiritual relationships.
We Believe in the Kingdom of God
We believe that the Kingdom of God is greater than personal ambition, denominational identity, ethnic identity, national identity, political affiliation, or individual success. We are called to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. We therefore desire to raise believers who are Christ-centred, Biblically grounded, Prayerful, Holy, Compassionate, Evangelistic, Spiritually alert, and Kingdom-minded.
We Believe in the Return of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ will return bodily and visibly in glory. We believe that the Church must remain spiritually awake, faithful, holy, and committed to the mission of God while awaiting the return of the Lord. Our hope is not ultimately in political systems, human institutions, economic progress, or earthly kingdoms. Our hope is in Jesus Christ.
Our Core Confession
We believe that:
- Jesus Christ is Lord.
- The Bible is the Word of God.
- Salvation is available to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ.
- Prayer brings us into intimacy with God and aligns us with His purposes.
- The Holy Spirit empowers believers for holy living and Kingdom service.
- Every believer is called to live as a witness for Christ.
- The Church is called to stand in the gap for individuals, communities, and nations.
- No person is beyond the reach of God's saving grace.
- No nation is beyond the concern of God.
- The Kingdom of God must be our highest priority.
- Jesus Christ will return, and He alone will receive all glory.
